AUSSIE ROCK BAND sacked at soundcheck

An Australian Hard Rock act poised to dish-up a suite of originals at Villanoosa on the majestic Sunshine Coast . . see nothing but the backend of the licensing division’s SPECTROMETER. .

Poised like a Tiger half-full of backstage PISS – Suburbiasuburbia – with a well negotiated performance fee were set for a BIG NIGHT. Not in the calculations was the soundcheck-to-nowhere.

With the POWER-DUO support act “Banned from the CLUB” supplying the boutique P.A. setup – the band under venue management control pre-ambled into a 3.5 minutes of unabashed CHECK-SOUND after the 6pm curfew was lifted. This would be the band’s last sound for the night – except downing tequilas and farting in the beergarden – as management came backstage at SHOWtime with a position.

The position aided by a cast of thousands from Licensing, adroit with special MICS had the band pinned in the backroom talking KARAOKE – the discussion itself louder than the permissable NOISE LEVELS. As every can of Byron LAGER was drained dry in 10 minutes out of the ice-fridge – it became clear a resident on the WOOLIES Carpark perimeter had been disturbed while breathing during soundcheck.
